Traffic networks (Iranian ad networks and messengers)
AdPix ships knowing Yektanet, Tapsell, Sabavision, Clickyab, Adivery, Torob, Divar, Digikala, Cafe Bazaar, the Iranian messengers, Zarebin and every Shaparak bank gateway — so Iranian paid traffic lands in a paid channel and carries the name of the network that sent it. Anything it does not recognise, you can name yourself in one click.
The problem this solves#
If you buy Iranian media, your GA4 acquisition report is wrong in a way you cannot fix. GA4 decides its paid channels by checking that the source platform is Google Ads, or by matching your source against lists Google maintains — and no Iranian network is in them. Google Ads does not accept Iranian accounts at all. So Yektanet, Tapsell, Sabavision, Clickyab, Adivery and the rest arrive as Referral or Unassigned, and the channel report cannot tell you what your spend did.
AdPix ships a registry of the market instead.
What is recognised out of the box#
| Kind | Networks |
|---|---|
| Ad networks | Yektanet (including Panjereh), Tapsell (and Mediaad, which now redirects to Tapsell), Sabavision, Clickyab, Adivery, Magnet |
| Marketplaces | Torob, Digikala, Divar, Sheypoor, Basalam, Emalls |
| App stores | Cafe Bazaar, Myket, Sibapp |
| Messengers | Telegram, Eitaa, Bale, Rubika, Soroush Plus |
| Search | Zarebin, alongside Google, Bing and the rest |
| Video and publishers | Aparat, Filimo, Namasha, Zoomit, Virgool |
| Push and affiliate | Najva, Pushe, Affilio |
| Payment returns | Every *.shaparak.ir bank gateway, ZarinPal, Zibal, PayPing, NextPay, Vandar, PayStar, Bitpay, Digipay, Jibit, TorobPay, YekPay and the global processors |
Each entry records how confident AdPix is about it. Official means the network documents the
behaviour — Yektanet publishes its UTM contract, Torob publishes that its paid listing clicks arrive as
utm_medium=cpc. Observed means the signature was seen in real traffic. That distinction matters,
because most Iranian networks publish no specification at all, and an honest product says which is which.
Where you see it#
In Traffic acquisition, switch the dimension to Traffic network. Where GA4 would show a pile of
referral hosts, you get Yektanet, Tapsell, Torob, Telegram. Add Channel as the second
dimension to see both at once: the channel stays GA4-comparable, the network tells you who sent it.
Two more dimensions come from the same place: Network operator and Network type, which name the carrier or ISP the visitor arrived on — Irancell, MCI, Rightel, Shatel — and whether the connection looks residential, mobile, datacenter or VPN.
Classifying something AdPix does not know#
No registry of this market can be complete, because the networks do not publish their signatures. So AdPix shows you what it could not name.
- Open Traffic networks in the admin area. The Unclassified tab lists your biggest unrecognised sources by sessions, with your own domains and Direct already filtered out.
- Pick a row and choose Classify. If it looks like a host, it is offered as a redirect host; if it
looks like a word, as a
utm_source. - Give it a display name and a kind, and say whether traffic from it is paid.
The source disappears from the list, your reports relabel the history you already collected, and the entry is recorded as observed — your own classification, kept separate from the signatures AdPix vouches for. It applies to your website only.
Persian spelling#
Persian has interchangeable letters: Arabic ي and Persian ی, Arabic ك and Persian ک, an optional invisible joiner inside compound words, and three sets of digits. Your agency, your ad panel and you will each type a different one, so the same campaign arrives spelled three ways and every other analytics tool splits it into three rows that each look small.
AdPix folds those spellings together, in new data and in the history you already have. یکتانت,
يكتانت and یکتانت are one campaign. Letters that change a word's meaning, like آ, are left alone.
Frequently asked questions#
Why does GA4 show my Yektanet campaigns as Unassigned or Referral?
Because it cannot do otherwise. GA4 decides Paid Search, Paid Social and Display by checking that the source platform is Google Ads, or by matching the source against lists Google maintains — and those lists contain no Iranian domain. Yektanet also tags its campaigns utm_medium=native, which matches none of GA4's paid-medium patterns. Nothing you can configure in GA4 fixes it, and Google Ads does not accept Iranian accounts at all.
Do I have to tag my campaigns for this to work?
No. Recognition works three ways: the utm_source the network already sets, the host the click redirected through, and a click-id parameter. Yektanet auto-tags every campaign, so it is recognised with no work from you. A network that tags nothing is recognised by its redirect host.
Will my channel names stop matching my GA4 export?
No, and that is deliberate. The eighteen channel names are unchanged, so you can still compare the two tables side by side. The network name lives in a separate dimension called Traffic network.
I classified a source. Do I have to wait for new traffic?
No. Channels and networks are worked out when a report is read, not when the visit is recorded, so the traffic you already collected is relabelled straight away.
Why is my payment gateway not in the list of networks?
It is, as a payment return. A bank redirect is the leg after a sale, not the source of one, so AdPix demotes it and hands the credit back to the campaign that earned it. It is deliberately absent from the Traffic network report for that reason.
