Sign in to AdPix

Your AdPix Account is one identity that signs you in to every AdPix product. Signing in is one thing; what you see afterwards is another, and it comes from access someone granted you.

One account, every product#

Your identity in AdPix lives in one place: the AdPix Account. The same email and the same password sign you in to every AdPix product. No product keeps its own users, and you never register twice.

The split of responsibilities looks like this, and knowing it answers most questions:

What you do Where it lives
Sign-in, password, two-step verification, profile AdPix Account
Which organization, account and property you can see the product itself (here: Analytics)

So you do not change your password in the console, and you do not grant a teammate access in the AdPix Account.

How to sign in#

1
Open the console. If you are not signed in, you land on the sign-in screen.
2
Select Continue with AdPix Account.
3
Enter your email and password at the AdPix Account — plus your code if two-step verification is on.
4
You are returned to the page you were heading for.

Under the button the screen says "Sign-in & your account are managed by AdPix Account." That sentence is exactly the split above.

If you followed a link to a page inside the console and your session had ended, the sign-in screen does not make you click anything: it forwards you to the AdPix Account and brings you back to that same page afterwards. Going to the sign-in screen directly always shows you the card.

Installations with local sign-in

If your organization runs AdPix with local sign-in, you get an email and password form instead of the button. That is an operator break-glass path, not the normal route for users; the rest of this section assumes the AdPix Account.

Signing in is not the same as having access#

This is the one thing worth holding on to. Having an AdPix Account means the system knows who you are. Seeing a property's data needs something else: a membership.

A membership is recorded for you by someone else — an organization owner or an account administrator — and it says which organization, account or property you belong to, and in what role. Until one exists you can sign in perfectly well and still have nothing to look at.

In that case you land on the "Welcome to AdPix Analytics" screen. It reads two ways: if you are allowed to manage the account, it offers to create your first property; if you are not, it tells you to ask an account administrator to create a property or grant you access, then refresh the page.

Ask an administrator, not the account

If a report is missing, creating a second account or signing in with another email will not help. Give your administrator the exact email you sign in with so they can record a membership for it.

If you were invited#

When someone invites you, the invitation arrives by email. The accept screen says: "Sign in with your AdPix Account to accept — your access is applied automatically on first sign-in."

There is no separate step where you choose a password. If you already have an AdPix Account, just sign in; if you do not, register at the AdPix Account first and then sign in with the invited email address. The role named in the invitation lands on your account at that moment.

Invitations expire. If yours has, ask the person who invited you to send it again.

Messages you may see on the sign-in screen#

When a sign-in comes back half-finished, the sign-in screen says why. Each message asks for one specific thing.

Message What it means What to do
"Almost there — we've sent a verification link to your email." The AdPix Account has not confirmed your address yet. Open the email, follow the verification link, then continue from that screen.
"That sign-in link had expired." Too long passed between starting the sign-in and coming back. Just continue again; nothing is broken.
"Your AdPix account doesn't have access to Analytics yet." Your account is recognised but not allowed into this product. Use Create an account if it is offered, otherwise ask an administrator for access.
"This email is already linked to a different account." The address is bound to another identity in AdPix. Contact support; this cannot be solved from the sign-in screen.
"This account has been disabled by the platform administrator." Your account is disabled and sign-in is refused. Contact support or your platform administrator.
"Sign-in was cancelled or failed." The sign-in was abandoned or refused midway. Try again.

If you do not have an account yet#

Self-serve signup is a switch held by the platform administrator, and it is not always on.

  • On: the bottom of the sign-in card shows "New here? Create an account". It takes your email address and sends you to the AdPix Account registration form, whose card reads "Create your AdPix ID — one account for every AdPix product." After registering, AdPix provisions a personal organization for you and the setup guide starts.
  • Off: that link is not shown at all. Your way in is an invitation or an access grant from an administrator.

If the email you enter already has an account, you are taken to the sign-in form instead of the registration form, with the address prefilled. There is no "you already have an account" dead end.

Next#

After your first sign-in, two things are worth reading: how long your session stays alive and why you are occasionally asked to sign in again, in single sign-on and sessions; and exactly what signing out closes, in sign out everywhere.

Frequently asked questions#

Why is there no password field on the sign-in screen?

Because authentication happens at the AdPix Account, not in the console. The sign-in screen only offers "Continue with AdPix Account", and you enter your password there, along with any two-step code your account asks for. An email and password form appears only on installations that run local sign-in.

I signed in but see no reports. Is something wrong with my account?

No. The AdPix Account only says who you are. Seeing a property requires a membership, which an organization or account administrator grants you. Until it exists you land on the welcome screen and need to ask your administrator for access.

I was invited. Do I need to create a new account?

Not if you already have an AdPix Account. Just sign in — the access described in the invitation is applied to your account automatically on first sign-in, with no separate accept step.

What does "Your AdPix account doesn't have access to Analytics yet" mean?

Your account is recognised but is not allowed into this product. If self-serve signup is on you can use "Create an account" on the same screen; otherwise ask an administrator to grant you access.
