# Share a report

Every main report carries a Share button next to the date picker. It creates a link you control: live data or a frozen snapshot, open to anyone or only to people you name, with an optional expiry date — and you can revoke it at any moment.

## Create a link

Open any report — Home, Acquisition, Traffic, Engagement, Events, E-commerce, Geography, Technology or Funnel — set the dates and dimensions the way you want the reader to see them, and press **Share** next to the date picker.

Pick three things:

1. **Data** — *Live* (the link follows your selected period, always current) or *Snapshot* (the numbers are frozen as they are now).
2. **Who can view** — *Anyone with the link*, *Signed-in users*, or *Specific people* by email.
3. **Dates** — keep the rolling period (e.g. always the last 30 days) or freeze the exact dates on screen. An optional expiry date shuts the link off automatically.

The link is shown once — copy it. The report opens read-only, in the language you chose, on a clean page with no console around it.

## Download as Excel or PDF

The Share window's **Download** tab exports the report you are looking at, in the language you pick. Excel comes in two formats: a *styled workbook* (a branded overview sheet with the key metrics, one sheet per table, filters, frozen headers — right-to-left throughout in Persian) or *plain data* (one bare sheet for piping into other tools). The PDF is the full visual report — the same charts you see on screen, printed to A4. A share link also serves both documents directly, so someone you emailed a link can download the files without an account.

## Email a report

The **Email** tab sends the report as a branded letter — the key metrics up front, a button to the full report, and the Excel/PDF download links — either *right now* or *on a schedule* (daily, weekly or monthly, at the hour you pick in the website's timezone). Recipients must be members of this website; for anyone outside the team, share a link instead. When your deployment sends its own mail, the PDF report rides along as an attachment.

Each recipient gets the letter in one language: their own AdPix Account language, not the language you are reading the console in. The button opens the report in that same language, and an attached PDF is printed in it too. A recipient with no AdPix Account receives Persian.

Schedules live next to your share links in **Admin → Report sharing**, where you can pause, resume or delete them.

## Manage and revoke

Every link you created lives in **Admin → Report sharing** (`/admin?sel=sharing`): what it exposes, how many times it was opened, when it was last viewed. **Revoke** stops a link immediately; **Delete** also removes its stored snapshot. Creating and revoking links requires website-admin access, and every change is written to the audit log.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does the person opening my link see?

Exactly the report you shared, read-only, with the dates and filters you froze into it. They cannot change the website, the date range, or any dimension — the server recomputes the report from the share's own settings and ignores everything else.

### What is the difference between a live link and a snapshot?

A live link re-runs the report every time it is opened, so a "last 30 days" share always shows the latest 30 days. A snapshot stores the numbers at the moment you created it and never changes — right for a monthly report you are filing, wrong for a dashboard.

### Can I limit a link to specific people?

Yes. Choose "Specific people" and list their emails. They must sign in to an AdPix account with one of those addresses; anyone else who gets hold of the link sees nothing — not even the report's name.

### Which reports cannot be shared?

Anything that shows individual visitors or personal identifiers — the Users list, raw events, realtime visitors, and heatmap recordings. Those never get a Share button.
